Review of Major Class/School Rules...
1. You must be in your assigned seat by the bell or you will be marked tardy...entering the room at the bell or after is considered tardy-DO NOT stay and talk with teachers placing you tardy for my class..
2. There will be no talking without permission or sidebar conversations with students
3. No cell phones are allowed in my class at any times, unless specified for a lab...Referrals will be written if phones go off or they are seen on a test.
4. Safety is paramount...Dissections and activities predispose students to accidents and never horseplay or not adhering to directions.
5. Grades will not be discussed in e-mails and ALL grades are earned...
6. You must raise your hand to ask a question-never to shout in the room as this disturbs other students requiring quiet environments.
7. Dress codes will be adhered to per school policy...
8. Cheating will result in automatic zero on assessment and referral-this includes wandering eyes, talking, and/or using cell phones or notes...
9. No eating or drinking without professional courtesy: only capped bottles, closed containers, etc...If I reward you with a snack, respect the privilege...
10. Disrespect, bullying, or defiance in my classroom will not be tolerated...All students
must earn respect and treat others as young adults in this learning environment.

HERE IS 1 PAGE OF THE HOMEWORK...

1. A woman with Type O blood and a man who is Type AB have are

expecting a child.  What are the possible blood types of the kid?  

2. What are the possible blood types of a child who's parents are both heterozygous for "B" blood type?  

3. What are the chances of a woman with Type AB and a man with Type A having a child with Type O?  

4. Determine the possible genotypes & phenotypes with respect to blood type for a couple who's blood types  are homozygous A & heterozygous B. 

5. Jill is blood Type O.  She has two older brothers (who tease her like crazy) with blood types A & B.  What are the genotypes of her parents with respect to this trait?  

6. A test was done to determine the biological father of a child.  The child's blood Type is A and the mother's is B.  Dude #1 has a blood type of O, & dude #2 has blood type AB.  Which dude is the biological father?

Pink roses are often the result of incomplete dominance. When red roses, which contain the dominant red allele, are mated with white roses, which is recessive, the offspring will be heterozygotes and will express a pink phenotype.

When two alleles for a trait are equally expressed with neither being recessive or dominant, it creates codominanceExamples of codominance include a person with type AB blood, which means that both the A allele and the B allele are equally expressed.

Polygenic Inheritance: Human skin color is a good example of polygenic (multiple gene) inheritance. Assume that three "dominant" capital letter genes (A, B and C) control dark pigmentation because more melanin is produced.
